The concept of curriculum in modern American education.
711 Culture, Curriculum, and Learning:
Exploration of literature and recent debates related to cultural and linguistic
diversity, learning, and instruction. Discussion will focus on education
within and across home, community, and school contexts, including a focus
on home-school-community relationships.
801 Interactive Media and Computers in the Curriculum:
Theory and practice of designing, developing, and implementing computer
courseware for the classroom, including interactive video and instructional
computer-based media.
844 Culturally Relevant Pedagogy:
Pedagogy that explores the relationship between culture and learning as
well as teacher ideology and beliefs systems. Examines critical pedagogy
and pedagogies of resistance.
